The founder and owner of Public Art Agency Finland. Prior to founding PAAF, Kovari worked as an architect at Ramboll Finland Oy on public space planning and has been a sculptor in the field of contemporary art since 2008. Kovari’s art has been exhibited in galleries and public spaces in Finland, Switzerland, and Germany. Additionally, she has worked in different roles in cultural administration, producing art exhibitions and events. Kovari has also researched co-operation between public art and urban planning for both her master’s thesis in architecture and when leading a pilot study project on the subject in Tampere, Finland. The artwork of this acclaimed photographer has been displayed at several solo and group exhibitions all over Europe and in Asia. In addition to her own artistic work, Paappa also works in production-related and administrative tasks within the art world, for instance, in Rajataide, which functions to promote the work of young artists. Her work can be found in several national collections.
Sculpture, graphic arts
This sculptor has achieved recognition through her charming animal figures and has also had a long career in the field of graphic arts as a printmaker at Print Workshop Himmelblau. Havimäki’s work is included in the collection of the Finnish state as well as that of several municipalities and museums. Havimäki has also produced and curated several art events and is influential in several organisations within the arts.
Piispa is one of Finland’s leading contemporary painters and is especially acknowledged for her abstract landscape paintings. She has successfully worked as far afield as Germany and Indonesia – amongst other places, attaining positions of responsibility and also working in teaching positions ranging from her hometown arts society in Porvoo to national organisations.
